To protest Greece's refusal to allow same-sex marriage and to take a stand against their local bishop who supports the government's anti-gay policies, LGBT residents of Piraeus organized a kiss-in on "Epiphany" day, a major Greek religious holiday. They also distributed pamphlets that said, "Love is not a sin." Nikos Mylonas, plaintiff in a case for marriage equality, said, "Love has to be respected by everyone,"
